Huts on the Rax

Seven huts and countless views

The Rax is a living piece of Alpine history - characterised by striking landscapes, historic paths and a unique density of managed huts. Seven refreshment stops await hikers, six of which also offer overnight accommodation. This makes the Rax not only an ideal destination for day trips with the cable car, but also for multi-day tours with plenty of enjoyment.

What makes the Rax so special:

  • Easy access: The Raxalm Berggasthof is located directly at the summit station of the cable car. The Ottohaus can be reached in around 40 minutes.
  • Breaks with a view: Thanks to the high density of mountain huts, the trails invite you to take a break and enjoy the views.
  • Culinary delights on the mountain: Regional cuisine, prepared down-to-earth - from warm strudel to hearty mountain dishes.
  • Spend the night with a panoramic view: Five huts offer places to sleep - ideal for sunrises over the high plateau.
  • Individually plannable: Whether as a leisurely day hike or a multi-day hut tour - the Rax adapts to the pace of its guests.
