It is worth pausing along the railway hiking trail: The 20-Schilling-View the Doppelreiter lookout point and the view from the Weinzettlwand offer impressive views of the Semmering railway viaducts and the passing trains.

Views on the Rax

The Rax plateau opens up wide horizons - in all directions. Particularly impressive is the Höllental view: From here, the view falls deep into the rugged landscape of the Höllental.

Viewpoints with far-reaching views

If you want to aim high, the Doppelreiter lookout point or the Millennium Observatory views across forests, valleys and peaks. On particularly clear days, you can even see as far as Lake Neusiedl.

Many of these places can be easily combined - for example on a hike. A new view opens up again and again. If you take your time, you will be rewarded with quiet moments and surprising perspectives at the region's viewpoints.

SummitLynx: Collect experiences and hiking pins

With the SummitLynx app, you can now collect hiking pins at the viewpoints in the region. Those who register on the app while hiking earn the hiking pin. The app can be easily downloaded to your smartphone from Google Play or the App Store and is transmitted on the go via GPS; mobile phone reception is not required. This hiking pin is available digitally and is rewarded with a certificate . In the Semmering-Rax region, hiking enthusiasts can also collect other hiking pins, for example when hiking on the railway or hut hopping on the Rax.
