Travelling by train on a cycling trip

Get on the train - get on your bike

No searching for a parking space, no traffic jams - but plenty of fresh air and views: The Schwarzatal cycle path is made for spontaneous day trips on the saddle. If you are travelling by train from Vienna, you can start the route from the station.

Whether you choose Neunkirchen or Payerbach-Reichenau station as your starting point, the regional train takes cycling enthusiasts from Vienna to the Semmering-Rax region in around an hour.

Starting point Payerbach

From the railway station directly onto Bahnhofstraße in the direction of the town centre. The cycle path starts at the junction between Schulgasse and Bahnhofstraße along Bahnhofstraße

Starting point Neunkirchen

Main square between Schwanstraße and Herrengasse. Follow Bahnstraße towards the town centre, turn left onto Wiener Straße, cross the Schwarza river and cross the roundabout.
