The Semmering-Rax region is located directly on the southern railway line. From Vienna or Graz, you can reach the region in around an hour - sometimes without changing trains.
Trains run regularly, both regional trains and express trains.

Railway stations in the region:

• Payerbach-Reichenau: Accommodation in Reichenau, Payerbach, Schwarzau im Gebirge or Prein.
• Semmering: Accommodation at Semmering, Breitenstein or Schottwien
• Gloggnitz: Accommodation in Gloggnitz, Prigglitz, Raach and Schottwien
• Neunkirchen: Accommodation in Neunkirchen

Other railway stations: Schlöglmühl, Eichberg, Küb, Klamm, Breitenstein, Wolfsbergkogel

Depending on your destination, you can reach your accommodation on foot, with the RUFbus Semmering-Rax or with regional buses.
There is a RUFbus stop at every participating accommodation in the region. You will always find the closest bus stop to your accommodation in the accommodation description.

The RUFbus is a shuttle service that takes passengers to defined stops in the region by prior arrangement. It can be used by holidaymakers, day visitors and locals alike. It is necessary to book in advance.

The stops are located in the municipalities of Reichenau, Payerbach, Schwarzau im Gebirge, Breitenstein, Semmering, Schottwien, Gloggnitz, Prigglitz and Raach at the railway stations, mountain railways, excursion destinations, hiking car parks, accommodation and more.

You receive the MobilityCard+at the reception of the accommodation establishment and can enjoy the following benefits during their stay:

• Free travel from the nearest railway station to the accommodation, as well as free travel from the accommodation to the nearest railway station
• The journey is free of charge up to 7.5 km
• From 7.5 km 50% of the full price will be charged → to the fare table

The MobilityCard+ must be presented by the guest at the start of the journey. If the guest is travelling to the accommodation, at least a booking confirmation must be shown.

With the RUFbus Semmering-Rax you are also mobile during your stay. Stops are located at accommodation, Excursion destinations, mountain railways, outdoor pools and much more. You can find an overview of all stops on the RUFbus website or in the RUFbus app.

The hiking start and end points are always at RUFbus stops, railway stations or public bus stops, so hikes are also possible without a car and you can choose a different start and end point.
