Description
The Raxalpen-Berggasthof is located at 1,545 m directly at the summit station of the Rax Areal Ropeway. The view from here is impressive: panoramic views of Reichenau, the entire Schwarzatal valley and the Semmering and Sonnwendstein mountains opposite.
How to reach the viewpoint:
- With the Rax Areal Ropeway: in just 8 minutes from the valley to the high plateau
- Hike to the mountain inn Raxalpe (from Knappenhof)
Once at the top:
- Refreshment stop with regional cuisine
- Starting point for hikes on the Rax plateau
- Starting point for snowshoe hikes in winter
