A real insider tip in winter: The Falkenstein Nature Park offers hiking and walking trails through tranquil landscapes. Past enclosures with goats, rabbits and wild animals, you can find peace and quiet here and experience nature up close at the same time. Depending on the snow conditions, the children's playground can also be used.
In December, the nature park transforms into an atmospheric stage for the Schwarzauer Adventzauber - an Advent market with regional products and artistic crafts.
After a winter walk, the Café Naturpark invites you to take a warming break - preferably with a hot chocolate.
Gloggnitz Castle is not only worth a visit during the Advent season. You can enjoy a cosy break in the castle restaurant or in the patisserie and soak up the special atmosphere. Two 150-year-old sequoia trees in the castle park are impressive.
Just below the castle is an information box about the Semmering Base Tunnel, which also offers a view of the construction site.
