Description

The popular Falkenstein Nature Park is located in the small, idyllic village of Schwarzau im Gebirge. This is a wonderful place to explore the beautiful landscape and animals, even in winter. The walk takes you along the educational fish trail, past the children's playground and towards the petting zoo.

The nature park is freely accessible at all times - if you enjoy your visit, you can make a small donation at the nature park entrance (opposite the kiosk).

Getting there From Vienna, take the A2 South Motorway to the S6 Semmering Expressway and take the Gloggnitz exit. Drive via the B27 towards Payerbach/Reichenau and through the Höllental to Schwarzau im Gebirge. From Graz, take the S6 Semmering Expressway and take the Gloggnitz exit. Public transport Travel by train to Payerbach-Reichenau station. From there, bus line 341 runs to the "Schwarzau im Gebirge Ortsmitte" stop, where the hiking starting point is located.
