PLEASE NOTE!!! The railroad hiking trail is closed between SEMMERING STATION and WOLFSBERGKOGEL STATION!!!

The route leads to the most beautiful viewing points along the railway hiking trail in the direction of Breitenstein up to the Fleischmann Viaduct, where you can admire the impressive buildings of the UNESCO World Hertige site Semmering railway. You can enjoy magical views from the imposing Doppelreiter viewing platform and the 20-Schillingblick viewing point. The way back to Semmering takes you across the golf course past imposing Semmering villas and the High Road Museum, where showcases along the High Road give an impression of Semmering's history.

Route description Starting from the Semmering Passhöhe, the path first leads us past Semmering train station and continues along the Lower Austria railway hiking trail to the viewpoints Doppelreiteraussichtswarte and 20-Schilling Blick. We go downhill to the Fleischmann viaduct. After the Fleischmann bridge, the Zauberblicke path splits from the railway hiking trail and now takes us into the Rotgraben and over the golf course to the Hochstraße. We pass old villas, the parish church of the Holy Family, and the Hotel Panhans back to the starting point Semmering Passhöhe.
Parking Parking is available at Semmering Passhöhe.
Getting there From Vienna take the A2 South Motorway onto the S6 Semmering Expressway and take the Maria Schutz exit. Turn right onto L4168. Continue on Semmering/L4168 and Semmeringstraße. Turn right onto Bahnhofstraße.From Graz take the S6 Semmering Expressway and take the Spital/Semmering exit. Turn left onto Semmering Ersatz Str./B306. Continue on B306.
Public transport Travel by train to Semmering train station. Alternatively, book an individual ride with the RUFbus Semmering-Rax, which will bring you to the hiking start point.
