Route description The starting point for the hike is the Semmering Pass. Pass the valley station of the Hirschenkogel cable car and continue to the Sporthotel Semmering. Follow the forest path towards Maria Schutz until you reach the turnoff to Greis/Bärenwirt. Cross the main road and follow the green markings behind the former Bärenwirt inn until you reach a clearing. Keep to the right and you will reach the Georgswarte.
