Experience Reichenau on a leisurely stroll, a short Nordic walking or running tour.
Whether you're just looking for a short, leisurely stroll, a short Nordic walking tour or a run: the Fischerpromenade is something for everyone. The tour is perfect if you're on a tight time budget or if you want a morning run. You run exclusively on firm ground along the Schwarza, where the river cools the air a little, especially on hot summer days. Over bridges and through the spa gardens, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and do something for your health at the same time. A special bonus for culture and architecture fans: the tour leads past Reichenau Castle and the parish church of St. Barbara.
The promenade is not accessible during floods!
Make sure your choice of route matches your experience and fitness level. Check the weather forecast in advance.
Running tips:
Start slowly to gradually get your circulation going. After about 10 minutes, take a short break with stretching exercises. Vary the pace to increase performance gains. Avoid overexertion, especially on steep sections, rather walk if you lack basic fitness. Follow warming-up and cool-down phases. Let the run wind down and then avoid stretching too intensely!
Wear appropriate clothing and good running shoes. Remember rain and sun protection. Bring enough to drink.
