The festivals in the Semmering-Rax region open doors to special perspectives. Whether theatre, cabaret, music or literature - the list of highlights is long: the Festspiele Reichenau, the cultural programme at Wartholz Castle, Kultur.Sommer.Semmering, the open-air theatre in Nasswald, performances in historical sites and old grand hotels, events in castles, in the valley or high up on the mountain. Even cultural evenings accompanied by culinary delights are part of this lively programme.

In August, the Parkhotel Hirschwang is transformed into a stage for artists from all genres - from humorous programmes to literary greats. In 2026, the events will take place at Reichenau Castle.

The theatre in Nasswald, which is performed every year on the open-air stage at the Hubmer memorial site, has a long tradition. The amateur theatre association brings hilarity to the stage as well as the story of the "Rax King".
