The castle in Reichenau is at least as old as the town’s name itself. The castle was built around the year 1190, and the name “Reichenau” was first mentioned in a document about 60 years later. The castle, along with all its outbuildings, is also located in the oldest part of Reichenau. Today, the castle is a vibrant cultural and event center that regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts, readings, and cultural events.
