Description
The Kirchenwirt is located in the middle of the Maria Schutz pilgrimage site next to the pilgrimage church. The view over the Eselstein, Schneeberg, Gahns, Grassberg and Otter is unique. The comfortable rooms invite pilgrims, families and couples to linger. Hunger is also catered for here. You can enjoy hearty home cooking in the restaurant. The specialties of the house are the monastery soup, the pilgrim's schnitzel and the monastery stew. There are many other tasty specialties.
The most famous house specialty is the Klosterkrapfen. The Klosterkrapfen are baked according to an old family recipe in the Klosterkrapfenkuchl right in front of your eyes. The Klosterkrapfen are traditionally filled with apricot jam or with nougat or vanilla cream.
The Kirchenwirt is perfectly located for the Semmering Summer of Culture and the Reichenau Festival. Whether Semmering or Reichenau, both places are not far away and can also be reached with the RUFbus, which you can use free of charge as a hotel guest.
