At the mountain huts on the Wechsler, the views and the food are a real treat
The Wechsler ridge is over 15 km long and a popular excursion destination for walkers and families. Rustic mountain huts characterise the landscape of the Wechsler, and the path to a well-deserved snack leads through a gentle mountain landscape.
A walk along the long mountain ridge of the Wechsler can be absolutely lovely. But it only becomes truly perfect with a visit to the ‘Schwaigen’ – as the locals affectionately call not only their alpine pastures but also their mountain huts. There you’ll find good home-cooked food and the down-to-earth banter of the innkeepers.
