Semmering Bike Park

Gondola lift and downhill party: the classic in the east

The Semmering Bike Park is a meeting place for professionals and families alike, and getting there takes less time than preparing your bike for the trip: it's only an hour's drive or train ride from Vienna and Graz.

With 18 kilometres of trails of all difficulty levels, single trails, north shorelines, jump lines and a slopestyle park, the Semmering Bike Park rightly has a fan community that extends far beyond neighbouring provinces and national borders. Its spectrum ranges from family-friendly beginner descents with small jumps and not-so-steep curves to challenging professional downhill tracks with tricky obstacles and technical passages full of drops, roots and stones. The downhill trails are divided into easy, medium and hard trails for orientation, so that every rider can find their own individual fun experience and slowly approach their individual limits.

Up with the train, down with flow

The 8-seater cable car takes you up to the 1,340-metre-high Hirschenkogel. It conveniently transports bikes and mountain carts to the central starting point, with a dream view included. From the top, a dozen lines lead 350 metres down into the valley. If you wish, you can hire bikes and equipment on site, hone your skills at the bike school or chill out on the sun terrace of the Liechtensteinhaus. The minimum age? Eight years for the beginner-friendly easy trails, ten years for the more challenging freeride trails.
