The Achtersee is suitable as a bathing lake, picnic area, beach club with flair, paddle tennis court, beach volleyball court and much more.
The "Achtersee" - also called "Achterlacke" or "B & C" lake - is a small gravel lake in the west of the city. It got its name from its shape, which it got from the merging of "Chrysanthemum Lake" and "Begonia Lake" and which is reminiscent of the number 8. In addition to the bathing pond, there is also a beach volleyball court, a paddle tennis court, a large children's playground and the Himmelblau Beach Club.
