The ascent to the Hallerhaus starts from Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen. Before the hike, you can visit the Hamari climbing park, the water park with salaerium and theme trail as well as the scooter and mountain cart track. Depending on how long and far you want to walk, you can either take the "Sonnenbahn" cable car to Mönichkirchner Schwaig or hike to the summit station. There you will find several places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation, as well as playgrounds for children. A short detour to the Alpengasthof Enzian or the Berggasthof Mönichkirchner Schwaig is definitely worthwhile. Away from the hustle and bustle, you reach the Hallerhaus through peaceful forests. Founded in 1910, the mountain inn has been renovated several times since its opening and is now popular with skiers in winter and hikers in summer thanks to its easy accessibility. Don't miss the Blunzng'röstl with homemade blood sausages!
Mönichkirchen is also the starting point for a stage on the Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail) to the Feistritzsattel, which leads past the Hallerhaus.

Preparation
When choosing a route, make sure it matches your experience and fitness level . Check the weather forecast in advance. The weather in the mountains can change surprisingly quickly. Therefore, always set out with the appropriate gear (e.g., rain gear).
Check to see if the huts and snack bars you plan to visit along the way are open. Let someone know your route and your planned return time before you set out.

Always bring appropriate maps with you. Wear sturdy shoes suitable for the hike, and bring sunscreen, rain gear, water, and a light snack. Bring your cell phone and save the mountain rescue emergency number: 140
From the valley station of the Sonnenlift and the Rollerbahn, we follow a path alongside the lift to the summit station. Right next to the summit station, we see the Mönichkirchner Schwaig mountain inn, and the Alpengasthof Enzian is already in sight. We walk past it on the left and see the Haller-Haus sign in front of the trees. We walk past it on the left and follow the trail. At the fork in the trail, we go straight up the somewhat steep slope. We’re now on the first level, halfway through this section. At the next fork, we keep to the right again. We follow the path toward the next group of trees. At the front edge of the group of trees, there’s a signpost marked “Loipe” and “Hallerhaus.” We follow the trail. We come to a wide path surrounded by fields and woods. After just a few meters through the woods, we’ve already reached our destination.
Parking is available at the Mönichkirchen Erlebnisalm valley station.
Comingfrom Vienna on the A2, take the Edlitz exit onto the B54 Wechsel Bundesstraße and follow the signs to Mönichkirchen.
Comingfrom Graz on the A2, take the Pinggau exit toward Friedberg and follow the signs to Mönichkirchen.
Take the regional train from the Wiener Neustadt train station to Aspang, then continue on the regional buses to Mönichkirchen.
