The Hallerhaus, situated at an altitude of 1350 meters, is located near the Mönichkirchen summit station and is easily accessible on foot or in combination with a ride on the chair lift.
The ascent to the Hallerhaus starts from Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen. Before the hike, you can visit the Hamari climbing park, the water park with salaerium and theme trail as well as the scooter and mountain cart track. Depending on how long and far you want to walk, you can either take the "Sonnenbahn" cable car to Mönichkirchner Schwaig or hike to the summit station. There you will find several places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation, as well as playgrounds for children. A short detour to the Alpengasthof Enzian or the Berggasthof Mönichkirchner Schwaig is definitely worthwhile. Away from the hustle and bustle, you reach the Hallerhaus through peaceful forests. Founded in 1910, the mountain inn has been renovated several times since its opening and is now popular with skiers in winter and hikers in summer thanks to its easy accessibility. Mönichkirchen is also the starting point for a stage on the Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail) to the Feistritzsattel, which leads past the Hallerhaus.
