Description

The Stuhlecktour is a long-distance hike from the pass at Semmering over numerous peaks, with the Stuhleck as the highest point of the tour at 1783 meters above sea level. Via the Dürrgraben to the Alpkogel and always following the mountain ridge, in the footsteps of the mountain hunters to the Feistritzsattel and after crossing the alpine pastures to the Pfaffensattel. The ascent to the Stuhleck is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view from the Alois-Günther Haus. The Güntherhaus welcomes its guests with traditional hut delicacies and is also the first refreshment stop on the hike. The descent is via the Schwaigerhütte (only open in winter), the Friedrichshütte (open at weekends in summer) and past the ski lifts down to Spital am Semmering.
