Hiking to the Jagasitz: a nature experience

The starting point of the hike to the Jagasitz is at the parking lot of the Myra Falls, where nature inspires with impressive waterfalls. From there, the trail first leads over bridges and footbridges along the waterfalls to the main path. The trail continues uphill along country lanes and smaller paths via Kreuth to the Jagasitz. At the viewing point, the Vienna Alps Viewer offers a panoramic view of the region and the Schneeberg. Even when the Jagasitz inn is closed, the view is still worthwhile. Adventurous hikers can also continue on to the Steinwandklamm gorge and the Türkenloch.

Refreshments: Gasthaus Myrastubn, famous for its delicious baked or gratinated pancakes.

Route description Our hike starts at the Myrafälle hiking and water world. We walk over the bridges and paths along the Myrafälle up to the country road. We walk a bit down the right side of this road and then turn left up the path. We reach the road again and turn right uphill. Following this road would also lead to the Jagasitz guesthouse. However, we turn right onto the path to stay on our route. Going straight ahead, we finally reach the Jagasitz guesthouse via a last section of road.

Getting there Coming from Vienna or Graz, drive along the A2 to the Wöllersdorf exit. Follow the B21 to Pernitz. Take the Muggendorf street.
Public transport Take the train from Wiener Neustadt to Pernitz and then the bus to Muggendorf. More information can be found at www.oebb.at and www.vor.at
