Description

Beautiful circular hiking trail over the Kulmriegel. The trail leads through the forest past the beautifully restored Hubertus Chapel and Grimmenstein Castle. The route can be shortened or extended as required.

Route description Trail marking: G1 and continuation G1bThe trail starts at the town hall square in Grimmenstein. Along Schulgasse, turn left into the Kunstgraben. Follow the G1 signs until a fork to the right leads to G1b (Hubertusweg) on a forest road up to the Hubertus Chapel. Passing the Hubertus Chapel, the trail then continues to Grimmenstein Castle. Here, you can continue on the Burgweg 1a or follow the Kulmriegelweg G1 in the opposite direction (shorter option).
Parking Free parking spaces either directly at the town hall square or at Edlitz-Grimmenstein train station.
Getting there Take the Grimmenstein exit from the Südautobahn and then drive right into the town center.
