"There is no path that only leads in one direction". Along the path of thought you will find boards with short texts by the author Ernst Ferstl, which invite you to pause and reflect.
The path was opened in 2008 as a project of the HS Krumbach and the polytechnic school under the direction of OSR Director Friedrich Geiderer. The trail runs along the Zöbernbach stream on a paved footpath from the village center in Bad Schönau to Krumbach within an hour. The destination is the museum village in Krumbach, where a local history museum has been set up in the former citizens' hospital. If you want to fortify yourself after the hike, you can continue to Gasthof Heissenberger and the Krumbacherhof. At the start of the hike, you can also make a detour to the Triad inn in Bad Schönau, which is known far beyond the town's borders. The creative and high-quality cuisine at Triad has already won several awards from Gault Millau and Falstaff - table reservations recommended.
The path is cleared in winter and is therefore accessible all year round and can be used by bike. Nevertheless, please watch out for slippery spots! We recommend sturdy footwear and waterproof outdoor clothing.
Many regional routes of the Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail) also lead to and from Krumbach, such as the route to Gschaidt via Krumbach Castle, the route to Maria Schnee or the route to Kirchschlag.
Your hikes in the Vienna Alps should be a thoroughly enjoyable and safe experience. Please observe the following:
