Hiking tour Starting from Breitenstein train station
Breitenstein train station - Kalte Rinne - Gaiskirchlein - Orthof and back to the starting point via Orthofstraße
The comfortable circular hiking trail first leads over the main road, or via a shortcut through the forest, through Breitenstein. At the intersection Hauptstraße/Semmeringstraße, there is an information board. On the Kalte Rinne Straße, you pass the Blunzenwirt inn, which invites you to stop by. Then you hike along the Semmering railway under the mystical rocks of the rear Adlitzgraben, enjoying the view of the Krausel-Klausen Viaduct and the Polleres Wall with the Kalte Rinne Viaduct. From there, you can also make a short detour to the Ghega Museum. The next highlight on the route is the "Falkensteiner Cave" with the widely overhanging rocks. Right next to it is the Gaiskirchlein. Here you reach the highest point of the hike at around 1000 meters above sea level and return to Breitenstein via Orthof.
