Route description
Train station – Prosset Gorge to House No. 12 – turn right uphill onto the Eselssteig trail (marked in red) – past the Emmerberg ruins – turn left downhill toward the forester’s lodge; turn right at the edge of the forest – Emmerbergweg – Wolfsgraben uphill to the right – on the high plateau, turn right – at Hausberg, turn left downhill – after 400 m, turn right (view of the limestone quarry possible), then return to the train station via Engelsbergweg. Starting point: Access is possible at Kastanienallee below the Emmerberg ruins. Entry to the Emmerberg ruins is prohibited due to the risk of collapse

Free parking is available right at the train station. Charging stations for electric cars are available.

From Vienna, take the Wiener Neustadt Nord/Wöllersdorf exit, heading toward Piestingtal/Hohe Wand,
From Graz, take the Wiener Neustadt West exit, heading toward Schneeberg/Hohe Wand
