Description

The start board for the route is located directly behind the castle grounds. On flat terrain, turn right along the Schwarza. After 1 km we cross the Schwarza and turn left at the end of the bridge into Haus am Stein-Gasse. After 100 m, turn right onto a paved path into the Grünstingbachpromenade. We continue along the Grünstingbach stream and after 2.3 km we reach the walls of Schloss Rothschild. We turn right and after 20 m immediately left again and walk-run-walk along the castle wall. The following 400 m is the only ascent of the route with 45 m of ascent. Here we are in the forest and pass the Matthias Chapel. We cross Wartholzstraße after 3.3 km, then Höllentalbundesstraße B27. We cross the Schwarza for the last time at the "Haabergwehr". On asphalt and along the paved riverside path, we march towards the town center. After an entertaining 5.7 km, we reach the start and finish point at Schlossplatz in Reichenau.

Route description Start and finish are located at the castle square of Schloss Reichenau at an altitude of 485 m. We run to the right along the Schwarza.After 1 km we cross the Schwarza - CAUTION: the weir structure was washed away during a storm, a detour is being worked on - and at the end of the bridge we turn left into Haus am Stein-Gasse.After 100 m we turn right into Grünstingbachpromenade and run along the Grünstingbach.After 2,300 m we briefly turn right and after 20 m turn left again and run along the castle wall of Schloss Rothschild.The next 400 m have an ascent of 45 m. The section between km 2.3 and 3.5 runs mostly in the shady forest.In the forest we pass the Matthias Chapel. We cross Wartholzstraße after 3.3 km.At km 3.7 is the entrance of the Gasthof Kobald or the Seminar-Park-Hotel Hirschwang. We cross the Höllental federal road B27.We pass the Schwarza at the weir after 4.3 km. On asphalt and later on the riverside trail we run back.After 5,700 m the start and finish point at the castle square in Reichenau is reached.
