From the Molzbachhof in the direction of the Sachsenbrunn grammar school (alternatively you could also park and start here), walk along the road until you reach the junction (on the right) "Sachsenbrunner Teiche". You can walk around the two ponds past the Hubertus Chapel and have the opportunity to enjoy this idyllic spot in the forest on one of the benches. From here, continue along the running route (footpath 4) back towards Sachsenbrunn Gymnasium, past the sports field and through the forest towards Hammerhof (horse stud). Then turn left along the road to the "Am Stein" district and follow the marked walking route 3, first through the settlement and then through the forest back to the starting point.
Parking is available right next to the Molzbachhof or in the parking lot at Sachsenbrunn High School
Coming from Vienna, take the A2 to the Edlitz exit. Follow the B54, turn right onto the L134, and continue to Kirchberg am Wechsel.
Or take the S6 to the Gloggnitz exit, then head toward “Wechselland” and Kirchberg am Wechsel.
From the Aspang train station, take bus line 369 to the Tratten stop (about a 5-minute walk to the starting point).
Or take bus line 367 from Gloggnitz Station to Kirchberg (get off at the town center; it’s about a 20-minute walk to the starting point).
Or combine your hike with a stay in Kirchberg am Wechsel.
