Description

From the Steyersberger Schwaig (1357m), the hiking trail leads to the Kranichberger Schwaig (1520m) where you have a wonderful view of the Rax and Schneeberg and can take a break. A detour to the Bärenlacke (an underground alpine lake) is definitely worthwhile. On one of the information boards you will find information about the origins and history of the Schwaigen.

We follow the markings and reach the Dreiländereck, the highest point of the hike. The name Dreiländereck comes from the fact that the boundaries of 3 estates border each other here.

At the Dreiländereck, you have the option of continuing on to the Hochwechsel (walking time approx. 1.5 hours). We follow the hiking trail to the next refreshment stop at the Feistritzer Schwaig (1438m).

The hiking trail leads back to the starting point of the Steyersberger Schwaig along the protected area for the black grouse.
