From the parking lot - Holzplatz in Haltbergtal, Sierningstraße, (for the navigation system, Öhlerweg 3) opposite there is a parking lot from where you can start. A few steps back to the crossroads and then in the direction of the Schoberalm along the red markings to the Schoberalm. At the fountain just before the Schoberalm, turn right, also red, to the Öhlerschutzhaus (open from March 1st to the end of October, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).
Then follow the blue markings in the direction of Puchberg, after approx. 1 hour you will arrive back at your car.
In winter, please always keep in mind that twilight and darkness set in very early!
You can rent snowshoes at the Familien Skipark in Losenheim.
In Puchberg am Schneeberg, across from the Spar store, follow Sierningstraße to the end and turn right at the intersection. After 100 meters, you'll find a small parking lot.
A short detour past the Schoberalm to the Schoberkapelle is definitely worth the 45-minute walk.
