The museums are examples of the many different institutions to be discovered. History, natural sciences or toys tell of the past and present of this region. The museums bring to life the people and events that have shaped this landscape. Cyclists take in the landscape. Wherever museums invite you to visit, you can immerse yourself even more deeply in the landscape. Because it is only through its history that the region can be fully experienced.
An e-bike can gladly be rented directly at the Hilton Garden Inn in Wiener Neustadt. Otherwise, use your own bike.
The starting point of the route is the Museum St. Peter an der Sperr. Via the section of Euro Velo 9 (signage from the Kasematten Wiener Neustadt) you leave the urban area towards Katzelsdorf to the Tin Figure World. Continuing through Lanzenkirchen, past the Asia Spa Linsberg thermal baths, the next stop is the Hackerhaus Cultural Center. Along the Rosalia hill chain, we now reach Walpersbach. The further route leads to Pitten to the PIZ 1000 Pitten Regional Museum. Via Seebenstein, the route continues to Scheiblingkirchen and Thernberg to the Archduke Johann Documentation. Euro Velo 9 takes us further to Edlitz, where the Fortified Churches Documentation Edlitz awaits. From here, we leave Euro Velo 9 and cycle along or beside the B55 to Krumbach to the Museum Village. The Eisgreissler ice cream shop and the Schwarz-Bräu brewery can also be seen here. The last part of the stage now heads towards Bad Schönau, where our destination with the Sconarium is located. For families, returning to Aspang by train from where it is very comfortable to return to Wiener Neustadt is recommended.
It is very easy to get to Wiener Neustadt main station by train. From there, you can reach Museum St. Peter an der Sperr within just a few minutes on foot or by bike.
Also visit the establishments of the Lower Austrian tavern culture in the respective community.
The return trip can be easily made by train from Aspang to Wiener Neustadt. Multiple stages can also be ridden.
