Hiking tour Starting from Krumbach municipal car park
Beautiful circular trail from Krumbach to the Kraxenberg, covering around ten kilometers and taking around three hours to walk.
The hike on the Kraxenberg offers a beautiful nature experience in a peaceful landscape and also leads past cultural and historical highlights. Along the way, you pass the listed Holzbauerkapelle chapel, the Wagenhoferkapelle chapel and the Kraxenbergkapelle chapel as well as a 17th century statue wayside shrine. At the Wagenhoferkapelle chapel, the trail can be extended to the Eis-Greissler Manufaktur ice cream factory. If you want to take a break from everyday life, you can do so on the circular hiking trail and relax while hiking through meadows, fields and forests. At the top of the Kraxenberg, you can enjoy the fresh air and seclusion where you will only find a few farmhouses. Back down in Krumbach you come to the museum villagewhere a local history museum has been set up in the former Bürgerspital. If you want to fortify yourself after the hike, you can do so at Gasthof Heissenberger and the Krumbacherhofdo.
Many regional routes of the Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail) also lead to and from Krumbach, such as the route to Gschaidt via Krumbach Castle, the route to Maria Schnee or the route to Kirchschlag.
