From Aspang station, turn right along Königsbergerstraße, past the Madonna stone relief, which is located at Euro Velo 9. At the Unteraspang fortified church, cross the B54 and turn left towards Hottmannsgraben via Hottmannsgrabenweg. At the "Mooshaus", follow the signs for "Passkapelle". At the St. Corona pilgrimage route, keep left at the chapel and follow the blue and white tree markings. Once you have reached the pass chapel, follow the signs for Unternberg and you have almost reached your destination. Keep right and up the road you will find yourself in front of the Wexl Arena in St. Corona. You can reach the starting point (Aspang train station) in approx. 15 minutes from the Wexl Arena or from Unternberg on the regular bus route 369.

Preparation
Make sure when choosing the route that it corresponds to your experience and condition. Inform yourself about the weather forecast in advance. The weather in the mountains can change surprisingly quickly. Always start out appropriately equipped (e.g., rain protection).
Check whether the huts and snack stations you want to visit on the way are open. Inform someone about your chosen route and planned return before setting off.
Always take suitable maps with you. Wear firm shoes adapted to the route, take sun and rain protection as well as water and a snack. Bring your mobile phone and save the mountain rescue emergency number: 140
Parking facilities at the Wexl Arena and at Aspang train station
From Vienna: A2 South motorway through the Pittental to the Edlitz-Aspang exit, continue on the Wechsel federal road B54 towards Aspang. Continue on B54 to Mönichkirchen. After St. Corona in Aspang via L137.
From Graz: On the A2 South motorway exit Zöbern towards Aspang - after St. Corona via L137.
From Wr. Neustadt main station, take the regional train (direction Aspang-Markt) to the final stop. The Aspang station is the starting point of this route.

This hike is paved throughout except for a small section (hollow path about 300 meters) and is stroller-friendly.
There is a place to stop at the Wexl Lounge directly at the Wexl Arena.
For a longer stay in Unternberg, a farm holiday with the Gruber family at the Ofnerhof or at the Dissauer farm with the Rosinger family is recommended.
