The Lechner Alpaca Farm in Bromberg is situated in a quiet location amid the rolling countryside. Visitors get to know a wide variety of animals through plenty of hands-on interaction. In addition to alpacas and llamas, the farm is home to, among others, wallabies, Angora sheep, mini Shetland ponies, rheas, mini pigs, Greek tortoises, rabbits, dwarf and mini-dwarf goats, mute ducks, ferrets, chickens, tree squirrels, parakeets, emus, quails, and domestic donkeys.

This excursion destination in the Bucklige Welt region offers a variety of activities:

  • Alpaca walks: Guided tours lasting about 1.5 hours, suitable for all age groups and accessible even with strollers.
  • Farm tours: Explore the farm with a feeding bucket. You’ll get up close and personal with the animals—you can even enter their enclosures. For children, there’s a stamp rally with a little surprise at the end.
  • Children’s birthday parties: Specially designed programs for animal-loving children, tailored to their age group and featuring activities such as alpaca hikes, kangaroo feedings, and chipmunk encounters. Food, drinks, and cotton candy are included, and from March through October, there’s even a bounce house available.
  • Farm School: Educational programs for school classes that offer insights into farm life and how to interact with animals. Special education and inclusive schools are also warmly welcome.
  • Animal Encounters: Personalized experiences for groups of up to four people, where you can feed and observe kangaroos and chipmunks—with a little luck and patience, you might even be able to pet them.

There’s also a farm shop that sells handmade alpaca products such as hats, scarves, cushions, blankets, socks, and soaps.

Seasonal events are also held throughout the year, such as a children’s carnival, an Easter egg hunt, or a summer camp for animal lovers.

Some of the excursion destinations are wheelchair-accessible, but a second person is required to assist. An accessible restroom is available.
