Wechsel panoramic trail: access and refreshments
There are several entry points for classic and skating cross-country skiers along the trail: Mariensee, Feistritzsattel, Alpengasthof Kummerbauerstadl, Gasthaus Dissauer - as well as Steyersberger Schwaig with its own practice and training area.
In addition, winter sports enthusiasts - and all those who want to become one - can look forward to a particularly extensive range of services: In addition to ski rental and cross-country training, there are great cross-country taster activities on the program especially for schools. Alpine huts and inns throughout the Panorama Trail area invite you to take a well-earned break on the mountain.
A true Mecca for cross-country skiers lies on the Wechsel in the Vienna Alps: with an optimal altitude of between 1,000 and 1,450 meters, the area is considered to be particularly snow-sure. The generously laid out network of trails totals around 70 kilometers of both classic and skating trails. Several access points invite you to discover the uniquely beautiful landscape - with the most magnificent vantage points and refreshing panoramic views of the Wechsel, Schneeberg and Rax mountains.
