Description
The Sonnwendstein can be reached from the pilgrimage site of Maria Schutz or Semmering and offers an impressive panoramic view at an altitude of 1,523 meters. From the mountain chapel on the Sonnwendstein, the view extends over the Vienna Basin and the entire region with Semmering, Rax and Schneeberg to the north. Further striking mountain peaks open up to the west and south, completing the panorama. After the summit hike on the Sonnwendstein, we recommend stopping off at the Pollereshütte.
