Swings, seesaws, climbing and relaxing on the unique swing path on the Mönichkirchner Schwaig.
The unique Swing Trail—a circular hiking trail approximately 2.7 kilometers long—starts at the Mönichkirchner Schwaig summit station of the Sonnenbahn. You can reach it on foot for a bit of exercise or comfortably by taking the 4-person chairlift. (Please check the chairlift’s operating hours in advance.) From here, the mascot Lella—a little cow—guides you from station to station and tells you about her life on the alpine pasture. The trail takes you from the Zielspringen to the Wipp-Mühle, the uneven seesaws, and the bell concert. From there, it’s not far to the highest point of the Schaukelweg—the Almschaukel. The Alpine Swing is a viewing platform with hanging chairs for resting and relaxing, offering a breathtaking view of the Mönichkirchner Schwaig. While you relax and enjoy nature, the children can let off steam on the climbing tower or playing milk-can bowling. The return trip takes you back via the balance course and the Alm slide, past the May Carousel, and back to the summit station. From the Sonnenbahn summit station, you can return to the valley station on foot, by the 4-seater chairlift, or for a thrilling ride on a mountain cart.
