A house steeped in history: Villa Schönthaler, named after the court sculptor Franz Schönthaler, was the first villa built in 1882 as part of the Semmering villa complex—a one-of-a-kind ensemble in Europe. Following its renovation, the house has been given a modern look thanks to its new furnishings, while retaining its historic charm. It is this blend that gives the villa its special charm and makes it the perfect event venue amidst the natural scenery of the Semmering. On the spacious event floor on the ground level—featuring a salon, lounge, library, and dining room with kitchen—you can plan events for around 100 guests. The two upper floors feature 10 rooms with a total of 29 beds and 5 bathrooms.
