The tiny house manufacturer “Villa to go” offers its model home in Reichenau an der Rax for trial stays year-round. This allows you to experience what it’s like to live in a wonderful secluded location in a 19-square-meter home with all the trimmings, while also enjoying a vacation and taking in the impressive panoramic views of the Rax from your windows or front door.
“Villa to go” is located just outside the Prein an der Rax district on Preiner Gscheid Street. From the base of the former Gsoll lift, you have a breathtaking view of the Preiner Wand with its climbing routes. Hiking enthusiasts can set out on foot from the tiny house or reach Preiner Gscheid in just a few minutes by car or bus, where many trails to the rear of the Rax (to the Waxriegelhaus, Karl Ludwig-Haus, the Heukuppe, etc.) begin. The starting point for the via ferrata routes on the Preiner Wand—the Griesleiten—is also just a few minutes away by car.
In the mountain village of Prein an der Rax, the “Oberer Eggl” inn and the Raxalpenhof invite you to enjoy a meal. Those who prefer to cook for themselves can do their shopping in the center of Reichenau at two grocery stores, bakeries, and pastry shops.
Culture enthusiasts can enjoy a varied program during the summer months. The Reichenau Festival and the Cultural Summer at the Parkhotel Hirschwang ensure there’s never a dull moment and draw those seeking relaxation from the slopes of the Rax down into the valley.
