Ternitzerhütte (Grassingerhütte)

The Ternitzerhütte at 1,199 meters above sea level is a kind of pioneer in terms of ecology: in 1985, it was the first hut in Austria to supply itself with solar energy. There is hardly a more suitable destination for a family excursion: the 15-minute walk from the Schneebergbahn Baumgartner stop is also fun for young mountain enthusiasts, and parents can leave the little ones to their own devices during the rest stop with a clear conscience: Children can play safely on the meadows and in the forest around the hut without supervision. The managed Naturfreunde hut with small meals on offer is ideal for groups.
