Experience the countryside between Wiener Neustadt and Lichtenwörth: from the Hilton Garden Inn hotel to the inns and wine taverns in Lichtenwörth & along the Leitha river back to Wiener Neustadt
The starting point is the Hilton Garden Inn hotel, which offers (e-)bike rental. After cycling past the military academy and through the academy park, the Euovelo cycle path leads off in the direction of Lichtenwörth. Here, it is best to treat yourself to some tasty home cooking at the Gasthaus Halbwax before setting off on the return journey. In Lichtenwörth, we recommend a visit to the idyllic Villa pond and the Nadelburg castle and its museum. The route takes us along the thermal cycle path along the Leitha back towards Wiener Neustadt. Before returning to the city, it is worth stopping at "der Ulme" - a summer bar in the middle of the countryside. Now it's back to Wiener Neustadt, past the Akademiebad. The cycle tour ends on the main square with a wide range of restaurants and shops. It is only a stone's throw back to the starting point.
