The circular hiking trail leads from the village square in Hochegg, via Himbergerstraße to the vantage point with views over the Vienna Basin, the Pittental valley and the Türkensturz. Following the path to the Hollabrunner Riegel, there are still views of the Rax, Hohe Wand, Schneeberg and Wechsel. From the Hollabrunner Riegel you then return to the starting point.
Your hikes in the Viennese Alps should be a beautiful and safe experience all around. Please keep the following in mind:
Preparation
Make sure the route you choose matches your experience and physical condition. Inform yourself in advance about the weather forecast. Weather in the mountains can change surprisingly quickly. So always start properly equipped (e.g., rain protection).
Check whether the mountain huts and snack stations you want to visit along the way are open. Inform someone about your chosen route and your planned return time before you start.

Always take suitable maps with you. Wear sturdy shoes adapted to the route, bring sun and rain protection as well as water and a small snack. Take your mobile phone with you and save the emergency numbers: Ambulance 144 / Mountain Rescue 140
