Pleasant hiking trail to the district of Rohrbach im Graben with a detour (if desired) to Maria's Land.
Along the Ziehrerweg. The Ziehrerweg is named after the k.u.k. The trail is named after the imperial and royal court music director Carl Michael Ziehrer, who sought a summer retreat in Puchberg am Schneeberg. Over the Gratzenhöhe, the small pass between Rohrbach and Puchberg, where there is a small chapel. In Rohrbach you will find Maria's Land, where Alpine salmon and Alpannon-Angus thrive in beautiful surroundings. Through the gorge to Talleitn and the Hengsthütte.
Sturdy hiking boots, a water bottle, rain gear, and possibly hiking poles.
From the Schneeberghalle, the trail is flat, then slopes slightly downhill toward Schwarzengründe; from there, it climbs a few meters in elevation to the chapel on the Gratzenhöhe, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Gahn massif. Through the Rohrbach Valley to Marias Land and through the gorge to Talleite, which you cross. At the Hengsthütte, we can then refuel. Descend along the Schneebergbahn, past the Atelier Voka, back to the Schneeberghalle.
Right next to the Schneeberghalle parking lot
Coming from Wiener Neustadt or Neunkirchen on the A2.
