By all accounts, the best Wiener schnitzel on the Hohe Wand can be found in the idyllically situated Turmsteighütte at 1,025 meters above sea level, surrounded by forests and meadows. And in Fritzi's style, as landlady Friderike is affectionately known. The hut is located near the Turmsteig, a via ferrata that is very popular with sporty hikers and climbing beginners. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, take the 45-minute walk from the Kleine Kanzel or Wildgehege parking lots.

Opening times: all year round, SA, SO and FT; winter closure November to March
