The Hengsthütte is a mountain lodge located at 1,012 meters above sea level in a quiet, green setting, offering traditional local cuisine. Lovely seating areas in the garden invite you to linger. Thanks to its own Schneebergbahn train stop, it’s equally ideal as both a destination and a starting point for hikes. The 1–1.5-hour walk from Puchberg, Rohrbach im Graben, and Schneebergdörfl flies by thanks to the temptations that await: homemade schnapps made from mountain pine and Swiss stone pine, and oven-fresh roast pork with bread dumplings. In winter, when snow conditions permit, toboggan rentals are available.
