Description

Kirchschlag is a jewel in the Bucklige Welt in winter with and without snow. In the run-up to Christmas, the Advent market on the castle ruins is also highly recommended - it towers imposingly over the town and is visible from almost everywhere. The main square is lavishly and atmospherically illuminated and the many small stores invite you to take a stroll. The town is also well supplied with gastronomic offerings - warming up in one of the inns or cafés around the main square ensures a successful end to your visit.

Route description Starting from the parking lot at Hotel Post - Hönigwirt, the route goes to the main square, passes through the rose garden by the fortified church, and on to the Passion Play House. The path then continues on side streets and returns to the village via the avenue at Kirchschlager Damm. Through the fragrant rose garden, the route leads back over the main square to Hotel Post - Hönigwirt.

Getting there Coming from Vienna on the A2, take the Krumbach exit towards Hungary, then drive to the Krumbach junction. Follow the signs to Kirchschlag.Coming from Graz on the A2, leave the motorway at the Aspang exit and drive towards Zöbern. Follow the signs to Kirchschlag.
