Description

At the start in Feldgasse there is a playground with a recreation park, bowling green, relaxation loungers, book cell, snack trees and toilet facilities. Parking spaces are also available here. The last section is along the forest nature trail. For tips on other Excursion destinations and places to stop for refreshments, see the author's tip.

The path is also suitable for wheelchair users. For access to the castle, it should also be possible to cycle on grassy terrain.

Route description In Feldgasse there is a playground with a recreational park, bocce court, lounge chairs, a book booth, snack trees, and restroom facilities. From there, the Zöbernbach stream and the federal road are crossed (CAUTION: unfortunately no pedestrian crossing). The path continues straight ahead into Mühlgasse. The further route leads to the Kirchschlag castle ruins. The last section is along the forest educational trail.

Getting there From Vienna: Take the South Motorway A2, exit at Krumbach. Continue on the Krumbach junction. Continue on Kirchschlager Str./B55 to Kirchschlag.From Graz: Take the South Motorway A2, exit Aspang-Zöbern. Turn right onto L137. Continue on Kampichl and Hauptstraße. Hauptstraße turns left in Zöbern and becomes Austraße. Follow L137 to Unterhaus near Krumbach and turn right to Kirchschlag.
Public transport By train to Edlitz/Grimmenstein station, then by regional bus to "Gemeindeamt" Kirchschlag. Continue on foot along Kirchengasse, past the rose garden, turn left at the intersection, past the church, then left again into Feldgasse to the playground.More information is available at www.oebb.at and www.vor.at
