Detaily pre: Gravel route Rosalia

Krátky opis

The moderate gravel route around the Rosalia runs like a "figure-eight loop" through the hilly landscape between Lower Austria and Burgenland.

Opis

Where the foothills of the Alps transition into the Pannonian plain lies the Rosalia, a hill chain in the north of the Bucklige Welt. The start and end point of the route is Katzelsdorf an der Leitha. The route follows the signposted "Sauberbründl route" and the "Buma-Bia route." The combination of the two routes forms a "figure-eight loop," mainly running on the eastern side of the Rosalia.

The first stop of the route is Bad Sauerbrunn. After passing through the well-known spa town, the route heads through the forest uphill on the Sauberbründl route. Then it continues onto the Buma-Bia route towards Forchtenstein and further to Wiesen. The direct way leads back through Bad Sauerbrunn to Katzelsdorf. If you want to ride the "figure-eight," you head again towards Forchtenstein, but then turn towards Lanzenkirchen on the western side of the Rosalia. From here, it's just a short distance back to Katzelsdorf.
