On the EuroVelo 9 track in Gasthof Pichler

Seasonal and regional: The cuisine at this Bucklige Welt guest house is truly exquisite.

Peter and Anna Pichler have been running Gasthof Pichler in Petersbaumgarten for almost two decades. Hospitality, regional cuisine and the Bett+Bike seal of quality makes the lovingly decorated guest house the perfect tour stop, right on the EuroVelo 9 cycle route.

There are many reasons to set down your bike for a while at the Pichler family in Petersbaumgarten: on top of the great location of the traditional guest house, cyclists can primarily appreciate a laundry service, cycling map rentals and an E-filling station. The Bett+Bike establishment is also equipped with bicycle tools and inner tubes to carry out smaller repairs.

Regional and Seasonal Specialities

Mornings in Gasthof Pichler begin with a substantial breakfast buffet. Great to see and certainly a topic of conversation around the breakfast table: Grimmenstein castle from the 12th century. Those wishing to hike to the castle can take a packed lunch with them or simply eat later in the guest house – the seasonal and regional cuisine was awarded the green "Wirtshauskultur" badge and the AMA Gastrosiegel.

Onwards or Stay a While

There's no doubt that you'll want to stay a little longer in the friendly guest house with its lovingly decorated rooms. At some point you'll have to ask how to take on the long climb to Mönichkirchen. Whether it’s casually by bike or comfortably on the train, it is certainly a matter of taste - the train station is in close proximity.
