A number of parking spaces for cars and mopeds, as well as bicycle stands, ensure a comfortable transfer to the train.
Route information
The Feuerwerksanstalt station is located along the route of the Gutensteiner Bahn, also known colloquially as the Piestingtalbahn.
- Trains to Wiener Neustadt and Gutenstein stop here.
- A bus stop with connections to Wiener Neustadt and Wöllersdorf is just a few minutes' walk away.
The history
The production of ammunition and firework rockets began here as early as 1815, which is why the sparsely populated area around the Wöllersdorf factories was also known as "Raketendörfl". After the final destruction in the Second World War, several companies settled on the site of the former production halls and the Feuerwerksanstalt housing estate was established.
