Train station Feuerwerksanstalt

The station Feuerwerksanstalt is located in the district of the market town in the Lower Austrian district of Wöllersdorf-Steinabrückl. The covered waiting areas on the platform provide protection from wind and weather, loudspeaker announcements and timetable notices inform train passengers about the current operation. A number of parking spaces for cars and mopeds, as well as bicycle stands, make it easy to transfer to the train.

History

Already around 1815 ammunition and firework rockets were produced here, because of which the sparsely populated area around the Wöllersdorf factories was also called "Raketendörfl". After the final destruction in the Second World War some companies settled on the area of the former production halls and the settlement Feuerwerksanstalt was established.
