Ternitz train station

The large reception building at Ternitz station in the municipality of the same name is located on the Südbahn line in the Lower Austrian district of Neunkirchen.

• Regional trains to Payerbach-Reichenau and Vienna Floridsdorf stop here.
• Trains also run to Mürzzuschlag and Bernhardsthal.
• Bus connections to Neunkirchen (directly from the station) and Puchberg am Schneeberg (bus stop at the Ternitz town hall - approx. 300 m from the station)

Excursion destinations

The region around Ternitz offers numerous excursion possibilities. For example, Ternitz's local mountain, the 609-metre-high Gfieder, can be explored on foot from the train station via a beginner-friendly hike in around an hour and is rewarded with a fantastic view when you reach the Gfiederwarte.

The family-friendly Schwarzatal cycle route offers the opportunity to enjoy the natural landscapes from Lanzenkirchen to Neunkirchen via Ternitz and Gloggnitz to Reichenau an der Rax on two wheels.
