Description
Semmering with the Semmering Railway has a lot to offer. Not only hikers, but also cyclists will enjoy the extensive trails and vacation offers. A special highlight is of course not only the nature and the refreshing mountain air, but also the magnificent view of the valley.

Route description World Heritage Tour
The starting and finishing point is the Hirschenkogel cable car valley station. We ride past the Hotel Panhans in the direction of Orthof to Prein an der Rax and on to Hirschwang and Reichenau an der Rax. From there we continue to Payerbach and via Küb and Pettenbach to the Kreuzberg and via Breitenstein back to the starting point at the valley station of the Hirschenkogel cable car.

Coming from Vienna A2 to Seebenstein junction - then S6 towards Semmering - exit Maria Schutz - Greis - Semmering
Coming from the south on the A9 to the Deutschfeistritz-Friesach junction - then S35 towards Bruck an der Mur - S6 towards Vienna - exit Spital am Semmering - Semmering.
Parking
A parking lot is available.
By train to Semmering - approx. 15 min. walk to the valley station. Timetable information at: www. oebb.at.
