Description
The Meierei golf course hike takes us through the World Heritage region at Semmering. Here you can admire the beautiful historic buildings and villas, as well as enjoy the view of Rax and Schneeberg.

Route description Semmering Meierei - golf course hike
The starting point is at the pass summit and you reach the small kiosk via the Hochstraße, passing the Hotel Panhans and the Panoramahotel Wagner. We walk down the valley on Liechtensteinstraße (forest road). After about 1.5 km, the hiking trail intersects with another forest road. Here we go about 50 meters downhill and turn left onto the forest path to the golf course. Passing the tee-off holes, the path leads us to the Meierei. We go back a short distance and then pass on the left above the golf course by the impressive villa to the Hochstraße.
Directions
From Vienna, take the A2 South Motorway to the S6 Semmering Expressway and take the Maria Schutz exit. Turn right onto L4168. Continue on Semmering/L4168, Semmeringstraße and Passstraße up to B306.
From Graz, take the S6 Semmering Expressway and take the Spital/Semmering exit. Turn left onto Semmering Ersatz Str./B306. Continue on B306.
Parking
Public parking spaces are available at the pass summit.
Arrive by train to the Semmering station.
Alternatively, you can individually book a trip with the RUFbus Semmering-Rax, which will bring you to the hiking start point.
